Starting today I will attempt to do a short weekly interview with friends of mine who are making a buzz for themselves in the art scene. This weeks entry is featuring a good friend of mine. (click on images for better view)
Me: Where are you from?
K.e.l.l.s: I'm from Oakland, California.
Me: How has you city influenced you?
K.e.l.l.s: My city has influenced my music through its stories and culture. Growing up in Oakland there is a mentality that makes you feel as though if you can survive here than you can [survive] anywhere.
Me: How did you start rapping?
K.e.l.l.s: I started rapping due to seeing a lot of friends and loved ones getting into music. Whether it was on a big platform like a stage or seeing them rapping in closets at one of the homies crib. I've always had a love for music, it just took me a minute to get over being shy and shit.
Me: What can we look forward to from K.e.l.l.s in the future?
K.e.l.l.s: Right now I'm preparing to drop a mixtape this winter, an album next year, and working on getting more performances all over the Bay area.
Me: Now I don't want to make this interview too long so were gonna end this with one last question. Describe you next project in one sentence.
K.e.l.l.s: The prequel to the album.
That's all for this weeks featured photo interview. Come back next week for our next feature.
